how long for a w/d to be "working"

okay-

i have 2 big eheims running on a 240gl right now and just finished plumbing a 40gl w/d for it. i plan on leaving one of the eheims running after the w/d is cycled, but don't want to pull off the other one too soon. what kind of timeframe am i looking at before i can pull it and not stress the fish?

Take the media of the eheim and put it in the wet/dry and you should be fine.

Then after a few weeks you can take the eheim media out

I heard that if your using plastic bio media it takes about a month for the BB to colonize.

Umm I heard it from the LFS owner, the staff at this shop are all proffesional fish keepers.
