I filled my new tank on Friday. I had washed approximately 120 pounds of CaribSea Ivory Coast sand, but it seems like it was still a little dusty. The water column is clear, but there’s a surface film made up of dust particles from the substrate.
I got my FX-6 running with the output pointed at the surface, and I’m setting up another one tomorrow.
Will this go away in a few days naturally through the filtration, or do I actually need to get in there with a pitcher and try to physically remove the dust particles?
