I guess thats a good way to word it,my current longtime resident has been with us for almost eight years.I know we members trade and sell fish back and forth all the time but lets see those family members who've withstood all the trades and sell backs over the years.

My oldest fish is a tinfoil barb over 7 years old.
I also have some juvenile-ish tinfoil barbs at a bit under 2 years and one a bit over 2 years, and 2 moors and 2 upside down catfish 2 years.

The rest of my fish ( a few WCMM and 2 upside down cats) I have had for less than a month.

I've had my Zebra Eel (salt water) for 12-13 years... I got it for my 16'th birthday lol
He's just under 4 foot.. The most calm fish i've ever owned never hurt one fish.. Wont even eat Feeders? lol

I have 2 black moors that I got when I first got into fish, 4 years ago.

I originally had 4, but lost two of them last month :(

I feel bad for keeping them in a 5g when I first got them... but they ended up in a 130g, so I made amends :D

Sounds like my Emperor cichlid which is what I was referring to in my opener, had it since it was about three inches and raised exclusively on flakes and pellets. It probably weighs about five pounds now.

the oldest fish in the house is a 6 year old fish. i think its the female jackdempsey but im not sure, ill let my husband come in on this one.

I have had my Syno. for over 5 years and he was at least half grown when I got him. He is a master at hiding even though he keeps getting bigger and fatter

Mine is not a fish. But my ACF(african clawed frog which is almost as big as the albino oscar which is 6 in.) She's about 5 years old.

I had a flowerhorn for 7 years. It died this past May. He had a ton of personality. I wish I had known about MFK a long time ago. I am sure I could have cared for him a lot better. He was a little over a foot when he died.

I have had an Oscar for about 3 years. Went from 6" to 14" and it's a beast.
