I HAVE TO GO ON AN EXTENDED TRIP FOR WORK AND HAVE TO LEAVE MY TANKS WITHOUT DAILY SUPERVISION JUST WONDERING WHAT WOULD BE THE LONGEST TIME I COULD BE AWAY WITHOUT TOO MUCH DRAMMA PROVIDED I PREPPED ALL THE TANKS WELL BEFORE I LEFT.

Went overseas in 2005 for four weeks. No casualties. but I had somebody feeding them sparsely every day. Also reduced the stocking levels of my 50+ tanks at the time.

Also went on vacation last year for a week with no one looking after them or feeding them. Just cleaned out tanks and their filters before I went.

I broke up with my parents...so about three- four months. Also I usually check my boarded tanks at best every other day. When I'm more busy I'll check my boarded fish about once a week. It's best to have your tank as low maintenance as possible if you leave them alone a lot.

A week isn't much, I left my apartment tank unattended for a week with an auto feeder. I guess it depends on what kind of fish you have and how delicate.

I left my rays and other fish unattended for 4 days... all I did was day before I left gave them a good powerfeeding and that night a good water change and they were ok when I returned.... when I do long vacations I set bags of premeasured amounts of food and a tank label and have somebody feed them once that week or twice....

Two weeks. Gave it an uber cleaning beforehand, right after an uber feeding. When I came back, fish were hungry, but all alive. They actually seemed to have behaved more with me gone

I left my native tank unattended for a week with no feedings. When I returned and flipped the lights on my Largemouth bass tried to eat my small mouth bass, which is only like 1 or 2" shorter. (LMB is probably 9 inches)

the LMB eventually spit the smallie out...Neither died and I fed them and they were fine. I don't know why but it was funny watching the LMB trying to swallow the Smallie but it was.

2 instences of 3-11 days without anyone there. last time they were fine when i took a trip to ocean city for 3 days, and the time before that a person forgot to come in so the fish were alone for 7-11 days and i lost all my pbass, parachromis, o's, and a few other cichlids, in those causulties included 4 azul pbass that i was going to sell after i got back, for a good amount of money-VERY good amount of money. i'm very careful now.

Thats pretty much what I did last xmas. We were leaving on Friday evening, so Thursday night they all got a big feed, then a big water change on friday morning. Two weeks later they were fine, didn't even look slightly worse for wear. I'd rather do it 12-24hrs in advance just to make sure everything is working again after the water change.

A bit more info about your tank (and a few less capital letters) would be helpful. If you've got large predatory fish mixed with smaller tankmates, you might want to think about how hungry they're going to get. A friend had 8 good sized clown loaches with his 14" ornate bichir and left them for 10 days over xmas, they had been fine together for over 6 months, but because the bichir wasn't being fed he decided to start snacking on the loaches.

About 3 weeks, I think.
