When I go crappie fishing I don't stay in one spot for more than 20-30 minutes without a bite...Is this normal, I guess I adapted it from bass fishing moving from spot to spot...My wife and I went fishing this morning, caught 2 in about 5 minutes and nothing else in that spot...So I did as usuall and moved on down the river, she couldn't understand why we left if we were catching fish there...We are using red wigglers and bobbers and just fishing about 10' from the bank...

depends I will usually move unless I know that it's the best spot. I would always try it again later. Sometimes it's just the time of day or other factors that can turn them off.
i stay in one spot for about 30 minutes and move but i fish the most rediculous spots were the fish are...like in root tangles, fallen trees, lily beds...those type of places...
