You'd have some years of enjoyment out of a tank that size...like prob 3-4 years but you would want to insulate the crap out of a shed tank (the shed as well actually) RTC's can handle temps lower than 80 for short periods but will always thrive in Temps between 80-83...If you are able to really insulate the Shed and you put a heater in there, you will notice it is very easy to keep a large volume of water heated very cheaply :D

for insulation purposes the cheapest is expanding foam, but do a test run first to see how much it does expand you will be suprised, i use it a lot at work and its very good stuff, and it sticks to wood even on vertical surfaces!!! and water proof too!

thanks for that , i migth do that and for heating a got cheap idea , get a 25watt heater or bit bigger and to it to full power and that will save money and i do that in my 3ft tank i got a 5 watt heater and it work good.

Ye id say if you bought it small them 4 years if you get a 2ft one then maybe 2 years.
Sounds like a good project keep me updated, also PICS!!
