Don't do it, they may say they are disease free but you can never tell.
Not only feeders are bad for your fish but they have no nutrients what so ever. Here are a few great things to feed carnivorous fish.
Tilapia
Silversides
Bass
Trout
Hikari Pellets
NLS pellets
Shrimp
Bloodworms

Agree and even longer if possible.. and if fish doesn't need to eat feeders then some other quality food is better..
Avoid catfish, goldfish, carp, rosies and other minnow species. They have a very low nutrition, often have diseases, and has thiaminase(which is bad for anything). Cichlid fry like baby convicts are good feeders. Trout, Tilapia, sunfish fillet are options if it is a large fish.

On topic...why not raise your own, if you're going to keep them in a tank anyway? Go with Guppies or Convicts to avoid thiaminase poisoning...
Dont know about you, but i gave up on growing guppies real fast. It's take 3 months for them to be big enough to make a decent meal for my fish.
At first I thought I'd go to convicts, but they'd still be small for a while.
So I decided to breed talapia. Having problems finding female tilapia now.
I think I might just start breeding kittens for feeder fish.

I would quarantine feeder fish 4+ weeks, the real bad parasites like Camallanus don't manifest themselves as quickly as simple stuff like ich, etc.
