How long should i wait.

So i added more salt then advised to my 180 tank because of ich. The fish are fine and eating well.

Im wondering how long i should wait so that the ich can come of the fish and be killed by the salt.

It can take 2 weeks or even more. The ich has to hatch off the skin of the fish to be killed, or out of the gravel, that is when the new ich tomites are killed.

Ya I treated ick by every day I dropped in the reccomended amount of salt and after 1 and a half weeks the ick was gone! Good Luck! Keep us updated

Ive treated ich with salt and raising the temp and never had an issue

Salt and temp. Temp just speeds up the life cycle. I agree 2 wks at above 86F is perfect.
