Background:
i transferred a squeaker catfish with a fungal infection which was he got fighting with another squeaker. I let the tank get a little dirty and soon after the starry night and hoplos catfish who originally occupied the tank got fin rot.
Treatment- i started to treat the fin rot witn melafix and completed the directions for however many days it speciefied however the fin rot continued to progress on my starrynight cichlid at a noticeable rate.
The tank has been getting treated with erythromycin for 3 days now according to directions.
Question- the fin rot is still progressing how long should it take for the erythromycin to kick in? Should i do another treatment? Should i switch to another medication?
