i have 120 gallon oscar tank and 25 G sump

we had daily black out maybe 6 hour
is that will kill all my BB

any info please

i think 1 hour is enough to turn the water toxic

This actually is an active area of research. Many studies have shown it is dependent on the strains of Nitrosoma and Nitrobacter present.
In general, these bacteria can survive for weeks without ammonia or oxygen by shutting down their metabolic machinery and laying dormant, and will resume normal function rapidly (usually within a few hours) after exposure to ammonia and oxygen.

i will do water test every week to see if the black out will affect the ammonia level
maybe i will help the studies

and here this info
i heard that yesterday my tank is up and running for 8 month know and had no sick fish ever they are healthy as a horse

this is actually is correct, bacteria could shut down their system and go on "hibernate" for long period of time mode.. just like bear :D
