How long till they grow up?

How long will it take a:
1 1/2 inch convict (already have)
2 inch firemouth (getting in 6 days)
2 1/2 inch Jack Dempsey (considering, electric blue variety if that matters)
To grow full size?

its going to take quite a few years to get max size out of the firemouth

Water conditions, amount of feeding and tank size all play factors in growth of fish

true, but none of the 3 are particularly fast growers, although dempseys sometimes can be

besides the dempsey your looking at a 3 years for the convict and firemouth, my convict is full grown now after 3 years and he has always had good water conditions and care. dempseys might grow a bit faster depending on carea nd space.

lets put it this way the convict you will barely notice growth at all throughout the years, take a picture now and wait a few months and tkae another and compare and see, its funny he will almost look exactly the same.

small, unless my lfs has somthing neat they took in from another customer

So do you always grow them out or put them in their big ,permenanr tank?
