I know that a fish wont starve itself, but I am wondering if there is an acceptable ammount of time to wait for a fish to eat. I purchased a Herichthys Carpintis, Andinoacara Stalsbergi, and a Managuense last Friday from Rapps and all are eating great except the Managuense. I have offered sinking pellets, floating pellets, blood worms, black worms, krill, mysis shrimp, and flake. Other than not eating it seems very healthy. Swims all over and has great collor. Any thoughts?

i had a 4" greent terror go about 6 weeks without eating. and its currently on another 4 week strike so i wouldnt worry too much.

Just leave the lights off and keep throwing stuff in.
My male jag wont eat anything that doesnt sink to him anymore and having ran out of massivore he hasnt eaten for almost a week now.

until you see the stomache area start concaving is when you should start to worry a bit

He will eat! Just a smart fish. Not gonna rush in on things. If you cant wait, offer him some protien like beef heart or scallops. I would'nt worry about him. There not on the list of more delicate fish.
