I resealed a my 210 glass, and had some centerplate issues.....have all of that worked out and have had the tank filled for 31 hours now......no leaks and centerplate is doing fine. It's on my front porch and I'm itching to get it in and on the stand. How long would you call a sufficient leak test????

There are pressures and stresses put on the tank when you fill and refill. I always like to fill and refill a couple times on 2 day intervals.

How long has the silicone been dry?

Silicone has been dry for 3 weeks on the bottom and sides, I've reset the centerplate twice....once with LocTite Stik N Seal (NEVER EVER EVER, try that at home) and used aquarium silicone for the reset that's holding now.

Thanks BDerick and ozpkchris.

Until you feel safe...

Though I always fill the tank as fast as possible using all the possible garden hoses (we have 2, the neighbors have 2, and I run the python from the sink out the window) because faster filling will put more stress on the seals, if they don't leak within 24 hours of doing a fast fill (i normally do 2) then I bring it in:) HTH
