How long to let pvc glue set

I'm doing some plumbing and the tank is up and running I am curious how long does everyone let their pvc glue sit before using it in their aquariums. Can i use it within a couple hours or does it need to sit for a longer period of time

PVC glue sets pretty fast. I'd use it after abou 15 minutes but I am not sure what is recommended.

The directions on the bottle will tell you exactly but I have waited as short as 5 min to test and had no leaks. Temperatures are also a factor for cure time.

But is that vapr harmfull I wonder I know it dries fast but it seems like those fumes linger for a while

just blow the fumes away. thats what i did

until you cant smell the fumes and then wash it out before use.

I set up my PVC and had it running when i glued my stuff together.

I glued the exterior not the interior of the PVC.

I used the purple one (I think it was like 5 min to dry but was faster as it was not thick) and I mainly use Red Acrylic Cement glue (I think its #5 or something like that).
Put it on, press your finger around the PVC so the glue is in the cracks and dont drop any in the tank water (dont know what will happen if you do so I avoided it )

PVc sets fast , usually after 20 -30 mins you're good to go

just do what the bottle says... i usually wait for 24 hours just to be safe...
