I had a leaker I returned it to the pawn shop and got another one I put a gallon of water in it and I noticed some water on my desk. Maybe it was a spash or condensation, I dunno. So I put it in my bathtup and it's filled about 80% and I ddrew a sharpie line on where the water level was. It's been about 10 minutes and it hasn't moved. Should I keep it longer? As I was carrying it to the tub with a gallon of water on it I felt some water leaking onto my shirt, so I dunno..

My roommates need the shower, help quick :)

Well if its leaking its a slow leak. But alot of time a gallon of water isnt enough to make a leak happen anyway, more water weight is needed. I have a feeling you splashed water and didnt realize it. Take it out of tub, dry it completely, put it in your room on the floor with paper towels under it. Fill it slowly and carefully, NO SPLASHING! If you see water outside you know for sure you have a leak, which if you do you should realize it quickly, drain it, with no harm done to the floor.

Edit: just read your other thread...Never Mind Regarding the above, lol.

Well I'm not sure if it's leaking or not. After 10 min. in the shower it wasn't leaking, but now that it's on my desk it's wet again! The original wetness I think was due to me setting it down in the snow before I brought it in. But it seems this one might be a leak. There is water between the wood thing and the glass on the bottom. It could just be water that fell down there but is it bad if I am pushing up against the wood and water is coming up. Is it okay if there's a little space in there? I drew another sharpie line so I'll give it an hour and see what happens...

If you are buying used tanks and are concerned with leaking, you might consider doing a complete reseal before filling up with water. There are a bunch of threads about sealing your tank and what silicone to use.

Better safe than sorry.

:grinno: You should never carry a tank any where with water, gravel, etc., in it. A good seal on a tank could be ruined by doing this. Even an inch of water or gravel, sand, etc. Good luck with your tank though:)
