How long will this last?

gimme an idea of how long if at all this could work?

210 gallon tank [7x2x2]
2x xp4's
2x AC110's
1x 55 gallon sump
and a couple power heads.

anyway I was thinking


2x florida gars
1x jardini
1x butti
1x red devil
1x jag
1x hait? maybe

tank will be bassically bare, sand substrate and a big peice of drift wood in the middle and a couple smaller ones in the two back corners.


anyway what do you think?

if it will work how long? if not which is a high possibility what do i need to get rid of to make it work, or what could i add? Fish i am mainly looking for are big "aggressive" cichlids.

Chances are it will only work until the jar goes crazy. Which won't be long. I'd ditch the two XP4's though (if you haven't bought them already) and get an FX5 for mech, and up the 55gallon to a wet/dry filter.

aside from filtration
will the gars and cichlids be fine without the jar?

I would go with the XP3's over the XP4's

I love my XP3, and they are one of the most popular filters out there for big tanks right now.

but some board members (Oddball) have run into some real problems with the larger motor unit on the XP4's..

Whoops. just read that you already have an XP4.

in that case, get an XP3, not another XP4 and use the savings to get other stuff
