How long would a 20 gallon last a BGK?

How long would a 20 Gallon last a 3-4 in. BGK without tank mates...or is that already too small for one? I'm debating whether I should pick up a second tank at the Petco Sale or just use the 20G one that I have

took my BGK 3 months to get from 3 to 9". i would not leave one in a 20 gal for more than 2 weeks at most but thats me.

you'll be okay for longer than that in my opinion. I got mine when it was about 3in and had in a 12 gal for about 4 months until she went into the next tank.

Personally, I think it'll last longer than a couple of weeks in a 20g. It's not going to grow another 3" in that time frame. You can probably get away with at least a couple of months.
