how long would it take to grow out a 1 1/4 inch serra. and what would you feed it at that size?

Serra is a very slow grow piranha...with proper care and depending on the species it can grow up to 6-7" within the first year and every 1" per year after that.

feed them every day for 3-4time aday when young. once they grow up to adult they can only eat once a day and every other days.

Here is a list of food you can feed them now.

blood worm
pallets
shrimp
krills
scallops
silver side
smelt
clams
fish fillet
beef heart

how big would the pieces of food have to be like 1cmx1cm squares or what?and if i had to sell this rhom(what i think/hope it is) what could i get for it at the 10 inch size?

chop it up so it small enough to fit his mouth.

As for 10" rhom it's all depending how bad you want to sell him and how bad the buyer want him.

personally i would pay no more then $200 for a perfect 10" rhomb. but that just me.

You have a very long time to think about it too. It would take the average fish keeper like 3-6 years to get it to a 10 incher. The price also depends on what kind of rhom you have. If you have the more common rhoms such as peru you wouldnt get as much as say a xingu or gold or black diamond.
