How long does it normall take to get an aro on pellets..?

Its a 4-5" Silver Aro...

Try FD Krill. My Silver isn't a big fan of pellets, but she loves krill. You may also want to try some Shrimp, scallops, and fresh frish.

Ye at that size it will kill it if you do it for more than about 4 days id say they waste away fast at that size.
If i were you id wait untill it gets to about 12" in a month or 2

yes, no more then a week at that size, they dont have much to them and will easy waste away to nothin, try shrimp, that worked with mine

I agree w/ no longer than a week. I would also agree to try FD krill or similar if it doesn't take to pellets easily.

He is eating beef heart.. Ill try fresh prawns and dried krill tom..

This is my 3rd aro... I've had bad luck with aro's...
So i really hope this works out..

That sux! Good luck with this one man! The best thing you can do is change the water daily and constantly offer food. I got mine at under 2" and did daily 25% water changes and offered food about 4-8 times daily. She is now 18+ inches and doing great. I think the constant waterchanges keep their appetite up and it permits faster growth.

i think he's still too small for pellet (i'd be afraid to stunt his growth) , at that size i would try to feed him with live food (i use frozen market prawn/shrimp) so he would gain in size fast up to about 10 inch or so.

I've had bad luck, too except for the last silver I got (just got rid of it),which took pellets and everything else I tried right away and it was WC. I've had my jar for 3/4 of a year and still no pellets.
