How long do u think a rectic or a hysteric will last in a 60long 22width tank? mayb for life perhaps with the water quality at its best?

A Hystrix or a Retic would last in an enclosure that size for a good number of years.
I can't say an exact number because each ray is different when it comes to growth rate. This is due to a number of different factors.

The Retic can reach up to 18 inches in width and over 30 inches in length. The Hystrix can reach up to 14 inches in diameter. You will eventually want to upgrade :)

which one is the easier to keep for a first time ray keeper and which is the faster growing one of the two? appreciate your input

72"x30" ideally 96"x30"x24" for either species for adult is best....

number 1 rule of ray keeping. the bigger the tank the better.

theres no way of saying how long a ray can last in a tank simply because every ray is different and every ones tank conditions are different.

it might last 1 year it may last 4 there are a loads of things that affect ray growth.

ide happly keep a small ray in a 22" wide tank for a while no problem.

just dont buy that NASTY bright orange gravel you pm`d me about.
