Hey guys I found a 300g tank on criagslist for real cheap. Problem is, is it doesn't have the width I want it to have to house rays for quit some time. With it being 8 ft long by only 2 ft wide how long do u guys think I can get out of this tank?

Not much longer than you'd get out of a 180 gal, which are pretty common on CL. Maybe a year or so depending on how big your Motoro already are and how fast they're currently growing. You're right, obviously, floor space trumps gallons.
Oh, I know that "yes!" feeling when you see a decently priced 300 gal tank and that "ffs" feeling when it's taller than it is wide.
Haha yea ur right even though I know the 2' wide blows I guess was hoping someone was going to say the 8' long would help to make it longer than a year. For me to setup a 300g tank for that short of time is a waste to me.
