What is the loweest temp you can keep barramundis and murray cod at? Can you keep them at temperate or native north american fish temps?
They probably wouldn't do very well in any of our fall and winter temps outdoors,if that's what you are getting at.

That's what i thought then i read that they can survive freezing water, just it is harder on fry. fry die because of thermal pollution, and adults can tollerate it. I'm talking about murray cod, I just thought barramundi and murray cod would look really awesome in my outdoor pond, they'd be introduced with the water at 60 or 70 degrees in the spring

Thing is though you wouldn't really be able to get a good look at them viewing down on them from above.

they are farmed in a couple states in the u.s hank parker had a fishing show catching them on a stock lake with his sons. and i know when i went to orlando you can go and catch them on fishing trips

Interesting, where are these farmed baras destined for?

They would still be a great thing to have even if you could only view them from above... and do you know if there are any of those farms that the water gets to 32+ deg?

I was saying that you would not be able to see much as you look down on them because their bodies are not flat....You would be looking down onto a thin sliver of a fish's back/topside.
