how many 4-5" dats in 60 gallon.

how many dats can i throw in for 60gallon. i already have 4, including other fishes. just out of curiosity, im not getting fishes til like mid feb. i was kinda debating whether to get some loaches or dats. any opinion?
 
Depends how long they would be in there for, and what other fish (and what sizes) are already in there. Filtration and deco would also need to be considered.
 
im planning on keeping then for a while. til like mid august, until i can replace with 125 gallon.
 
12 should be fine. It would probably take them two years to outgrow them if you got them at 3"
 
wow. 12 in a 60 gallon? i was thinking maybe about 6-8. haha. im also planning on getting some loaches and another poly.
 
Have you seen Datnoid101's tanks? It all depends on filtration.
 
i havent seen his tank yet. im running ac110 on mine right now. planning on getting another one.
 
As long as you have the filtration you can do what ever you want. I wouldn't go as far as 12 thats insane! But you could go with a few more. What else is in your tank???
 
I still say go with 12. You can always sell them and shouldn't have a problem in doing so as long as they are not IT.
 
Feb to Aug is fine. Just keep up on those water changes and the 12 should be fine.
