depend. I see people have good success with maybe 15. But there's also alot of people that would overstock their tank with cichlids. to lessen aggression.

I've got over 25 in my 60-Gallon, so it's pretty much up to you! With proper feedings and water changes, there doesn't seem to be any problems.

X2 It really depends on the footprint and which cichlids you are planning to keep.There are many Africans you couldnt keep 1 let alone 25 .

If you're talking about Mbuna and have more than enough filtration and hiding spots for them then you should be able to house 20-25 with minimal aggression issues, but you'll be doing large water changes on a regular basis to keep the nitrate in check.
