How many black aros?

in a 8 x 3 x 2, L x W X H, how many black arowanas can I put in the tank for life? I would really like 3x, or is that pushing it n I should stick with just one? If I can fit 3x blacks should I? I mean I dont want any fighting b/c I dont like rip arowana tails, a couple tear is fine but nothing more. would u guys stick with just 1x or 3x (if 3x can fit)? in the tank would also be 5x platinum bichirs, 5x indo datnoids, 20x clown loaches

p.s. this is just my future dream tank, just seeing if everything would fit or not.
 
i would do one, if your looking into packing in some fish get 20 endlis ;)
 
I have three large aros in my 96x36x30" They do fine and by the end of the summer I plan on adding a fourth. Though I think that footprint would be much better suited to just a pair of large arowana, you could do up to five if the aros are cooperative.

how big r ur aros? also with a tank so big chances r i will have to put it in the basement, in which case how do i get a tank so big through the door, yet alone the wood stand? i mean the basement door is only 30" wide. do the builders just build the stand in the basement?
 
Ya I had to reinforce the floor to hold my tank(main floor above a basement). Also had to remove the window to the room it was placed in. The stand was basically built, then taken apart and rebuilt in the room.

My two silver aros are 27-28" with the black going on 24". I also have another 12" black that I am hoping to add to the mix once it gets bigger. One thing with aro communities is ya never can be sure if they will work. So you really should also have the means to separate into other tanks if needed.
 
if the blacks get alone when babies, will they fight when adults? or is it if they get alone when babies they will always get alone?
 
I have 4 in a 450 gallon and they are doing fine! They are around 20 inches now and the ratio is 2m/2f. Tank measures 8' x 3' x 30inches.

What type aros, how were you able to sex them?
