hi all, first post! I'd love some advice on how many blood parrots to put in a 55g. they are who I've gotten the tank for, and will be happy with one if that is what would make them happier! I've looked through old threads on here and couldn't find any posts exactly on this. I want a bristlenose in there as well, but there doesn't need to be anything else. if you guys recommend one and some cory cats I'm okay with that or just two blood parrots... gimme what ya got! let's go on the assumption that this will be their permanent home, no upgrades in the future. a couple things I had worried about was them being to big to have more than one fully grown, and also that having two, they would just fight, and having three would have one getting picked on. oh, and if it makes a difference it's a planted tank with a gravel substrate. hope all that made sense! thank you for your help!

Short answer is 2. With no other fish and heavy filtration. Parrots can get large and blocky thick. At full size their bioload is similar to an Oscar.
