I have a 55 long, broke my 125.... :( (luckily outside) so now i have a 55 and a 29, i have two small small 2 inch senegals in the 29 and one large 6-6.5 inch guy in the 55 along with some large angelfish.... remember, it wasnt planned. but they are getting along just great!! theres 7 angels and they do not mess with the bichir and vice-versa. no nipped fins, no fights, its all good, so i was wondering, could i move the two smaller bichir in with the angels and other bichir? i know they eat everything that fits in their mouth so ive been reluctant on putting them in there, but i think they are large enough now to where it wont be a problem. any advice is welcome!

I think that if you absolutely wanted to you could, But to be safe i would wait to 3"-3.5" but they'll get there pretty quick. Mine got there in a month with daily feeding and water changes. But the 29 will work until they are about 5 so i would keep them in there until they reach the 3"-4" mark.

thanks for the advice, i probably will keep them in the 29 a little longer, i mean, the tanks not in the way... actually a great place, only thing id put there would be.... other fish! lol, so ill make sure the little guys are safe before moving them. id hate to let one get eaten. but the angels too, are they fine with the senegal? i mean, even if you said they werent, id probably disagree, since theyve all been together for a month now (i cant afford another 125 now.)

how big are the angels? And if you really want to insure both of them are ok just get some tank dividers.

thank you both for the advice, i know about the angels when they get larger they pair off, and get agressive, they are about 4 inches from top to bottom. and i have 7, they arent pairing yet.

Are you planning on getting another 125? But for now I would say if they are all big enough You can put them together in the 55. They can get pretty big, but keep in mind it take a while for them to get there
