I am getting a 75g aquarium tomorrow off craigslist. I started buying polypterus and can not stop! I now have 2senegals (one is albino), 1delhezi, and 2Endli. All are right at 3 inches and are currently in a 20 long. They all look happy but I know are going to grow up fast. I want to eventually collect a few more polypterus species. Can the 75 hold more when they are all grown? The bichers are the only fish that are going to be in the tank.

the endli depends if it is CB or WC. but since you said you want to be collecting more i would be planning on a bigger tank. You can house i'd say 8 or so in the 75 for a little while, but when they hit the 9-10" mark i'd start looking for a bigger tank. When they hit the 12-13" mark or bigger i'd probably have a tank waiting. The endlis though are a question mark if they are WC they will get pretty big if they are CB they can still get pretty big but some CB's stay pretty small

I don't think you can keep the endli's in it long term. They get pretty big but hopefully the experts will chime in. I've seen some tanks that have the entire floor covered with bichirs.

You dont need a huge tank, but try to go for a 24" wide, like a 120g or 150g, and you can pretty much put in as many as your filtration and waterchange schedule can handle.
