U could keep say 6-8 indos (small one 2-3 inch) for 4- 5 years roughly. Then may NEED to upgrade.

U could keep ngt / silver / ntt for life in 5x2, but more than 2 or 3, would be too cramped.
I never seen one of the above 3 bigger than 12 inch in tank.
