How many coats do I need for mr 480 gallon plywood tank build, and how would I put it on, would I put one coat then wait 24 hours put another coat wait 24 hours and so on if not, plz explain.

Thanks

You're referring to epoxy I assume? If you really want to do things right I would do the following:

1. initial wash coat
2. fillet the seams with thickened epoxy
3. Fiberglass the corner seams
4. Fiberglass the surfaces
5. Fill the weave (2-3 coats)

Aletrnatively, if you can turn your tank around you could do heavy pours and get away with a single coat (I would still tape the seams first).

Ideally you want the put o a coat before the previous one has completely cured. If you wait for a full cure you need to sand between coats.
