How many male cons OR female cons could i keep in a 55g with a Male GT???

id say a maybe 1 male or 2 females, but if your willing to do big water changes than maybe 2 male or 4 females

My answer is maybe one male as a dither if that is the purpose but a 55 is kinda small for more than just the GT even before it is full grown.
Year is long time for a "grow out tank" even for gts. You should be ok with one male, but watch them. Not sure I would go with a pair as they would take over the tank.
Will the 75 upgrade be a larger footprint?
I still wouldn't do it anyway. If your GT is a Male I personally don't think a 55 is big enough even for him if he's looked after properly, but 75 would be a good size.
