Hello everyone,

I am hoping to restock my 75 gallon with discus and possibly Cardinal / Emperor tetras. The layout I am hoping to do is moderately planted with decent cover. I have a ph of 7-7.5, 0 nitrates and nitrites, kh of 80 and gh of 60. Would this work? Thanks in advance!

That sounds like a fun project!

The thing with discus, is they tend to eat better when in a group that "fills" the tank. As large adult fish, that would mean 4-5 of them, but as 2" juveniles, it would mean maybe 15 of them. The advantage of growing up a large group is that you can select the ones you like best and probably end up with a couple pairs. There is always a market for getting rid of extra discus, if they are healthy.
