I would like to hear from other Dovii owners out there,i would like to hear how big your fish is and how long it took to get that size, what your fish eats,do they have tank mates and any special trait or wierd thing your fish might do. :headbang2

hey, i have a dovii and it is in a 100 gallon for now, he is 4" now, he only hasa two tankmates, they are a 6" striped raphael, and a spotted raphael that is 4". he killed my grammodewho was a little bigger, and a salvin's cichlid, all thought hat isn't saying much because neither of those fish can really threaten him anyways. in about a year he will be near a foot long if not bigger, they grow very fast and arevery aggressive, he is still a little shy but he isn't afraid of me though. he is the coolest fish.

I have a 180 with a 4" Dovii and a 4" Umbee with 5- 5" Tinfoil Barbs......Growing the umbee out for my 240 but i'm going to have to set it up sooner then expected because my umbee is kicking my wolfs ass all over the place.

I first picked up a pair of dovii last March 17th. They were about 2" each. It didn't take too long for one to set up dominance and beat the hell out of the other. The more aggressive dovii finally killed the other one. The dovii is named Tackle. She is now about 7.5 to 8 inches long. I gave her three other juvenile dovii (2.5 - 3") as tank mates last summer. They got along really well until December when Tackle and Mo decided to beat up the other two dovii. As it turned out, I had purchased 3 males back in June. The pair has established itself. I took the other two weeklings to work where they have their own tanks. It is fun seeing these little guys grow up and gain some spunk with their increasing size.

i have 2 dovii i purchased right before x mas at about an inch long, they have since doubled in size. the only ones who give them any **** are my grommodes who think they are bigger then they are. the two sets of fish are the smallest in the tank and bicher constantly. its actully fun to watch.the tank is quite big enough for them so dont yell at me there is no danger to either fish. when my 540 arrives the dovii will be removed along with the snook and umbee. im gonna try to create a parachomis tank. gonna get a loselli, motang, matang, and a friedrichsthalii. well see how it ends up.

I have a Dovii female she has paired up with my JD in my 6ft Community tank and get along ok with most thing except my orange pike they hate one another they have spawned 3 times now she loves maggots worms and she loves a fly off the top of the water also, blood worm and mussels pics of mum and dad and bad pic of mum and eggs

i currently have one pair the Male is pushing 17'' TL the female around 8''. Also I have 5 growouts at 3-6'' for a future breeding project. And one lone male at 12'' who is to evil to put anywhere.

i have one female and she is about 7" cant find her a mate. i never see her eat but i've had her for about a year so she must eat sometime. hopeing to get here to cross but i seem to have a whole tank of female cichlids.

I have one, hes is about 11" right now. A guy took him to a LFS my friend was at and wasn't taking him back home. the LFS didn't want him. He picked him up for $10 from the guy and was going to see if it would live with his rhom and took it took about 10 minutes to see that it wasn't going to work out.

I now have him in a 55G because thats all I have empty right now. I will be getting him a 150 soon. He eats like crazy, went through 24 small feeders today alone. Good thing they only cost $1 per dozen.

Here is a couple pics of him.
