I have a customer at the LFS I work at with an empty 135. He definitely wants a Flowerhorn, and he has no problem keeping it alone in there. However I was wondering if it's at all possible to keep more than one in there comfortably?

a breeding pair but its possible that they may need to be divided

mine are a breeding pair and i cant keep them together. i came down the other morning to find her shredded and missing scales! so shes currently in the emergency tank and when shes better i will put my male in there till he grows out of it and he can have his 70gal for a while lol

shes right on here, your gonna have to really watch and hope.
sometimes they seem fine then bam fight all night.

I got mine in a 150g and can't put anything else in their....

Sounds like he's gonna have to be alone then. Thanks for the replies.

You should just keep them separated so you don't have to worry....

nah he can have his own tank, the other fish i have in there cant afford to have 1 or 2ft taken out of their space.

but tell him to make sure he gets a good male lol it makes it all worth it! but mines in with a frontosa, a venustus and a Tyrannochromis, but he doesnt go for them like he does the female. so you could try some malawis? but i think its a case of depends on the fish may mix or might not....good luck to him and hope he finds something
