How many Frontosa would be a good fit for an 8' 240 gallon aquarium? I want the tank to be well understocked, but not empty looking. How many would you think would work? I'm looking at WC Mpimbwe or WC Moba. Let me know what you think please.

thanks,
Monty

12 moba, 2 male, 10 female... i saw one the other day at a fish store that was the size of an highschool algebra book, with a knot the size of an ashtray... lol

Sounds like a Burundi Front. You don't think 12 is too many for an understocked tank?

It was a Moba actually... It is at uncle neds fish factory drove 2 hrs to see the place :WHOA: well if you want it understocked I'd say you could stick with mabye 1 or 2 males and 6- 8 females that would be about the minimum I think less than that would look kinda empty IMO;)

you want a nice colony... how many really depends on the size they are when you purchase... if your buying babies... then at least 12 ... they grow very slow... it will be years before they crowd it a bit.. and since it is quite difficult to sex fronts this young.. you can always sell the extra males off later.

if you go for large x 10 or small x 16 of them ,that is how i fly!!!:)

Ok thanks. I'm thinking 10 would be a good number. I'm still torn on my stocking option, but thats another post. lol

I have a colony of 12 myself mostly Burundi in a 125gal soon to be housed in a 300gal when time and money come about!
