How many gallons of water do you maintain?

I was at work the other day and I was talking fish to another biologist, when a non-fish keeper entered the conversation. He asked me "How many gallons of water are your tanks total? I did the math and came up surprised. So heres the question:

How many gallons of water do you maintain?

Only 95 right now, since my 300's empty...

I myself was surprised to come out over 750

I am at 1044 b/c I am filling my 585 tonight for the first time. if it wasn't for that tank. I would be at 394. Now I know that those two numbers do not add up to 1044 but I didn't add the volume of the sump which is 100 gal. And that will not be totally full.

710 at the moment.. but hopefully by spring it will be much more, and fewer tanks. actually saving me electricity.

I've cut back a bit. Currently at half capacity with 15K gals running. Normally running 30K gals (not counting filtration.).
