Not sure it will be a true perruno catfish, more likely leiarius marmoratus, however, perruno will grow to 24" and need a tank of at least 6 ft* 3ft wide * 2 ft deep so about 240 gal, and the leiarius is more likely to max out at 30" and whilst that size tank would house him (and I say house and not be ideal) if kept alone, realistically 8 ft long would be better and of course bigger, better still.

For me personally, for a 24+" max size fish I'd be looking at something like a 96x30x24 300 gallon or bigger.

At a minimum, the tank width should be 4x the fish body length for this particular fish (because of the extra long barbels) and tank's length be also 4x the fish length. The depth can be 1x the fish length.

This is minimum IMHO. If the fish is already 2', a round 300 gal Rubbermade tub might be just barely adequate.
