How many gallons

I just bought a second hand aquaium and I am trying to figure out how many gallons.
it measures 59" by 17" by 17". If i round it up to 5' by 1.5' by 1.5' it ends up being;to my caculations, 93.75 gallons which makes no sence. If i leave it at the original measurement its is 82.23 gallons. neither of these sound right.
please help

17051 (cubic inches) = 73.8138525 US gallons

So, 59" * 17" * 17" = 17051 cubic inches. Put that in the converter, and you get 73.81 gallons. It would be more accurate using the inside dimensions of the tank.

Never noticed it or used it. Luckily I'm a dork engineer and know the conversion from cubic feet to gallons. Anyway, 73.81 gallons. BTW, that's a nice footprint for that tank.

The math is really pretty easy. no need for a tank volume calculator just use the calculator thats on your computer. Multiply all 3 dimensions in inches then divide by 231 so for your tank it would be 59"x17"x17"/231 = 73.81385.
