How many gals is my new tank ?

The measurements on the outside are 72 X 19 X 24 . Is it a 130 gal or more ?

yes, I would say its a 135+ gallon tank

if u check it from the inside it will hold about 142 g

Well that's what I say .. but now I'm being told that if I measured it inside the tank it would work out to be 130..but if you work it out by this way multiply 72 X 19 X 24 and then divide it by 231 it = 142 gals.. so I really don't know..

calculating from the outside gives 142, so inside must be less, how much less? you'll have to measure the insides to see

I did... it says that it can hold 142 gals of water and then says that if the water level is 1 " below the top then it is 127.24 ...??? doesn't tell me what size tank I have.. I think every tank would have an 1" below the top of the tank. Going by this would i just say that my tank is a 142 gal or a 130 gal..?
