Is it 2" PVC drain or just a 2" bulkhead? I have 2-2" PVC drains on my 750g and I pump roughly 6500 gph thru them. So you can easily flow 2400gph which is more than overkill on a 150g.

Hole in tank is 60mm internal diam of pvc is about 53mm so near enough 2", im thinking, nearly 4000lph, so nearly 1000gph so should be fine i guess. Its 150uk gal, i think thats 180 us gal, 700 litres either way + 100 litres in sump
