My wife and I are both interested in our fish hobby so we share the chores. A friend in town says it so easy for us because we are a team and he is alone todo the chores. So how many other teams are out there?

I have a 300 gallon, 125 gallon, 60 gallon, 36 gallon, 30 gallon, and a few ten gallon tanks......the wife has a 3 gallon betta tank LOL.

I alone do the fish thingy...although she's tried gravel cleaning and says its kinda fun, but of course she stopped helping me do it LOL

Hubby and I both love the fish and share the duties. We actually met while I was working at a pet store because he used to come in to look at the fish section, that was over 12 years go, geez how time flies. Instead of watching lots of tv in the evening we both sit and watch the fish tanks, it's so peaceful and something we really enjoy doing together. Somtimes on weekends we go around to all the different fish stores in the area just to check things out and see what's new.

deb76 thats the same with my wife snd I except we met at our zoo that my Dad and now my dad wife and I own and run.

i was bored yesterday so i went alone to waldorf to see what fish they had there. petco petsmart. there is only one lfs here and its closed on sundays. anyway my wife got pissed and threatened to hit my 125 with a bat if i spent anymore money. like to see her try. guarenteed she will be cleaning it up with a straw lol. hope she comes around some day soon. it would be nice to share a common interest in fish keeping. sounds like a great weekend deb.

aww, LFS romance ♥ i get my hubby to do the water changes when i can. utilize that man-strength! it's awesome to have the projects between us, something peaceful we can both work on. i've got 2 55g's and a 30g, a 4g, and he's got a 10g. we spend hours in front of the tanks just watching all our little babies. we're quite content to keeping our zoo animals-only, haha. 2 pitbulls, too many fish to count, 2 bunnies, 2 snakes, a green cheek conure, a monitor & two geckos and i feel like i'm forgetting someone... anyway rock on fish team couples x3

thanks :) ^^^^ you sound like us, we have an african grey parrot, two cats (one domestic shorthair, one bengal), and three dogs (one siberian husky, one rottie, and a 5 lb chihuahua that is the boss of them all) lol. It's so cute to read everyone's responses to this thread. Go Navy I hope your wife comes around soon, it's such a wonderful hobby to share.

The fish are theoretically my husbands. He picked them up at a moving away yard sale. I browse fish forums, he feeds the fish and does the majority of the water changes. He's building the new fish room. I come up with what I want on the build, and he makes it happen.
