I bred a pair of kribs and after the second batch I now have 45 0.5"-1.5" fry and I'd like to breed them in my 55 gal as the female in the first pair died. How many can I have in my 55 gal and what genders.

I had 2 pairs going in a 50gal community tank, one pair albino and another normal.
But be sure to remove the fry otherwise asking for trouble.

i wouldnt suggest more than 1 pair. not saying you cant do more. anytime you have more than 1 breeding pair of fish in a small aquarium like a 55 you asking for trouble

Lol a 55gal is not a small tank, definitely big enough for a couple of kribensis pairs lmao.

this is called mfk for a reason, to some people 55gal is a small tank.
I would say u could keep 2 pairs max in the tank and you would have to be careful.

Have two breeding sites on opposite ends of the tank with someone in the middle to break line of sight and you should be fine.

I'd consider a 55 small, but then so are kribs.

Lol you guys crack me up, a 55gal tank is big compared to kribensis. My buddy has 3 breeding pair of red devil/midas in a 55gal. I had 2 pairs of kribensis im a 55gal with 2 extra females that were thriving in the same tank.
