I have kept many plecos together including pseudos and they generally finding a pecking order and most disputes finish once an initial rank is established but some of the initial fighting can be fairly nerve racking.

Questions: For the pseudocanthicus keepers, what are your thoughts to keeping multiple large pseudos in tanks of 150+ gallons?

I'll add a pic.image.jpeg

Once they get established I have found that as long as you kept them well fed you shouldn't have to many problems with keeping a small school in a larger tank. And if you are lucky they may even spawn.

In a 150 gallon 10 or so should be a good number of them to keep in there. I would try to get them to be all close to the same size as each other.
Make sure to add multiple ones at the same time to change the territories and if it is possible rearrange the tank's decorations when adding new plecos.

One thing to consider is filtration and water quality. Another is aggression. If there are a lot of fish in the tank then it is spread around because they keep bumping into each other. If there are only a few than there's enough space and the aggression level stays low. The middle range is always the problem. Even if you stock the tank with all the pseudas the same size soon there will always be a larger one and a smaller one.

Personally I keep a max of six in a 180 gal that are 7-10". After that four seems to work if the the sight lines in the tank are broken up. I've seen some run all the way across the tank at another because they could not find their 'own happy place'.
