How many Lima's in a 6x2x2

Hopefully this weekend i'm setting up my new 6x2x2 with a fluval FX5 as filteration. There will be 4 oscars and 3 tinfoil barbs going into it. I'd like a Lima shovelnose catfish, would one be ok in it for life? And if so how many could i keep? Thanks

1 or 2 limas would be fine but thats too many oscars for life, how big are they right now?

i'd toss the oscars and get a few limas, they like being in groups. put maybe 3 limas as they do grow slow and stay pretty small.

Thers 1 at 14", 1 at 12" and two at 4 inch.

I would think that redtailfool is right. 3 or 4 for life would be fine. Might need to eventually upgrade in 10-20 years, but hey you're doing good if you keep them that long. I'd get rid of the oscars too unless you like them more than limas.

With a good diet and from my experience they grow pretty fast. Mine is growing 1" a month now.

if you have your 4 oscars and nothing else, you could maybe add a lima(good luck with the os getting along, it suks to have to get rid of some). Have you considered adding a sump? That may help things and allow you to get some limas.

It was ethnics that said that. GRR ethnics you confuse me everytime I see your avatar cause redtailfool had that avatar for a long time.
