How many oscars

How many oscars can go into a 7x2.5x2. I will have a 55 gallon sump. I will also be running an aquaponics system and most likely a fluval fx6. Anyone know how many oscars can go in that

Ime oscars need to be kept, solo or pairs or 5+ to stop aggression, I think you could do 5 in that tank but imo a pair in a sa themed tank / biotope would look better.

I'm also going to have some black belts that I might try to get rid of just cause when they get bigger they get even more aggressive

Yeah, good idea. I wouldn't mix Oscars and black belts, it's just not a fair fight and a bad match.

I would say a group of 5 would be good. I have 2 adults and they're pretty brutal when they team up on my Festae.
