In the future I would like to get a larger tank. Like 75 to 100. Or large if $$ permits.

But currently I have a 50. My stock plan for the future was I was hoping to have a tank with a male flowerhorn as the center piece plus multiple parrot cichlids.

I was wonder how many I can get. I know some where that have them at 2-3" size for sale. How many could be held with a flowerhorn in a 75-135 gallon tank? But first the parrots would be stocked in my 55 for a little under a year and then the flowerhorn introduced after I get the larger tank. Hopefully if they all get along.

not gonna work well. I recommend a bonsai FH or a big fat FH that is slower than parrots, and have plenty of decors. And the best tank of your choice is 135.

fh cant get parrot and they take their time to deal with it

Okay. I know people have made it work. Would it be better to have the parrots in for a bit and then add the flowerhorn when it's a bit smaller than them? And hope they get along. Or introduce them all at the same time.

Okay. Maybe I'll just do the parrots. And then add some plecos and maybe some smaller CA/SA cichlids.

But with just parrots in the 50 Until I get the bigger tank how many could I have for a year? I know a place that has them small and $10 each but buy one get one this Saturday. Which is the best price that I've seen here

It depends really. I've seen some blood parrots that don't get too big... Like baseball size. But I've seen others that are the size of softballs.
I don't know enough about their growth rate though. I would think 2 for a year.

Okay. I know some where I read that it is recommended min 30 gal for 1 plus 10 gals more per BP. Aswell as I know they are slow growers. Would it be possible to get 4-5. As the 50 would permit 3. But they wouldn't be full grown in a year. Then I add them to like a 135 which they would live in?

I've seen websites that say you but a kissing gourami in a 30 :-/. And green terrors in a 55... You beat source of information is forums like this where you can get experience from multiple people.. Just saying.

If they're really small I'm sure you can do 5. At the lfs I work at we keep 7 or so in a 30 gallon cube... But they're pretty small.
