I know alot of people have been seeing asians latley. So I was just wondering how many people have seen asians in the US? I know I have seen ONE. It was a green and it was at the zoo. Kinda boring to tell you the truth but the tank was enormous. It was a good 8' long and 3' wide and the aro was only like 18" lol.

I've kept them (Legally) in the US. We had to many I got sick of seeing them. There are a handful of places that display them.

I've seen alot or them here the US......

If I'd known then what I know now...

I had a green and a blue-phase pair of asian aros that I bought for $39.99 each at 10" and 12". I sold them when I transferred back to sea duty. By the time the ship returned 6 months later, the ban was imposed.

asian aros are everywhere. i know of 2 different lfs that have them sitting in stock waiting to be sold. and i know of many many stores that have them in there shops as center displays of the resturants or stereo shops. i know of personal people who own them. the biggest i've seen is a 13 year old 2.5' golden xback of some sort. has over a 1.5' wing span and is only living in a 110gal tank. crazy asian guy.

wow! you would be lucky to find a silver that size for a price like that!

I think the reason people are seeing so many is because you are now aware of them and are noticing them like a plague.....I myself have seen them around for years and years......Mostly in california but also here inhawaii....

I just checked texas dept of wildlife and i found out that the asian arowanas are not prohibited here anymore (seen them prohibited before). Unless there is a federal ban that I am unaware of then I am going to start searching for some.
