How many people run UV light sterilizers?

I'm considering a UV light system, but am unsure on who has the best models. Looking for something than can handlle A 180g.

For sterilization (level 1) you want 20-25 gph per watt and an aquarium turnover rate of 1-1/2 times per hour (recommended minimum).

My CFS 700 Canister filter has one built into it and I love it. Will have one on all my tanks from now on.

i need to replace my bulb and figure out how to clean the quartz sleeve.

What kind are you guys running? Are there any that can be placed in a sump?

The jbj submariner looks like a cool submersible option. i have one built into one of my canisters(sun sun) and it does make a difference when I turn it on, and it's probably the cheapest uv made. lol


i was a naysyaer for years, but I saw a difference, so I'll probably add some to some of my other tanks
