I would like to add a few Pictus Catfish to my 100 gallon aquarium. I would like to know how many you recommend I get because I know they're schooling fish and prefer to be in groups. Also, how big do they get? I've seen articles and care sheets that say everything from 4 inches to 12 inches. Is there more than one type of Pictus that grow to be different sizes?

I think there's more then one kind, my bro has had 5 for a year and they haven't grown much and there under 6inches, my fiancé friend had one the was well over 6"
they get 5-6in. i think the most problem is the mix up sizes between the pictus cats and the 4-line pim
