How many pictus cats?

My tank is a 170G. I know they like to be in schools, should I get 6? More?

in a 170, 6 pictus would be awesome. if you have the space for more i would do 10-12 would be a sight to see.

but i also have to ask what else is going in there. cause depending on what else is in there 6 might be enough or too many

6-8 would still look great, although it would still limit other bottom fish

The fish in my sig are what's in there. The jurupari and P. senegalus are the real bottom dwellers. There are some rock caves and driftwood down there, will they like the structure or would they want more open space?

OK cool, that's what I've got. I may shoot for 8-10 and see how it works out. I've loved these cats since I was a little kid, but I never really had a tank to house them right. I did have a big 4-line pictus back in the day, but never the spotted ones.
